Tooling U-SME classes are AICC or SCORM compliant and designed to work in any LMS system. Tooling U-SME classes have been tested and are currently running on the most popular LMS systems including Canvas, D2L, Workday, Saba, SuccessFactors, and many others. When Tooling U-SME classes are run on your LMS in both SCORM and AICC, no content is stored on your LMS. All content resides on Tooling U-SME servers. The files contain all the appropriate launch data and handle all communication between the systems so your LMS will receive final exam grades in real time.

Our test files are available for download below along with the verification steps recommended for testing our classes in your LMS.

For additional information on setup, testing, and troubleshooting LMS integrations please visit our help portal.

Tooling U-SME currently supports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, CMI5, and AICC file formats. The sample classes below include all the most common content types for testing. Click the Download icon next to the desired format to download the class files. You cannot upload the downloaded file directly to your system! You must open the download and select one of the two (2) zip files inside to upload. Once a file is uploaded you can follow the verification steps below to ensure it is working correctly.

Once you have loaded the files into the LMS, please verify the class can pass the following tests:

  1. Does the class launch?
  2. Can you navigate through all class lessons?
  3. Does the bookmark save?
    • Exit the class in any of the class lessons. Then, relaunch the class, and see if the class asks if you would like to continue where you left off. If this prompt appears, the class and LMS are communicating.
  4. Does the class completion record and final exam score save to your student history?
    • Complete the final exam and verify that the score is saved. The final exam cut score for all test files is set to 1% to ensure you can pass the class and verify the score/completion record is saved correctly.

NOTE: Steps 3 and 4 are critical steps for testing the communication. They should be done as a student would complete a class and NOT in a preview mode.
